It is difficult for me to attribute to myself exclusively one profession. I am a clinical psychologist, a pedagogue, a therapist, parents’ trainer, former manager in a corporation. But I use the names of these professions only when the context so requires, for example when I am publishing articles, taking part in trainings or working with patients. If I were to provide one specific description, I would say that therapeutic work with groups, individual therapeutic sessions as well as the work with children are my passion. No other form of professional activity has ever given me and gives me so much satisfaction than the abovementioned ones. That is why I have been involved in these areas for more than 7 years.
At work I follow the assumptions of Brief Solution Focused Therapy as well as the behavioral and cognitive approach, where I am promoting the NVC method. The aim of NVC is to establish high quality contact between people and with oneself, the contact based on mutual respect and trust. I have my therapeutic work supervised because in my opinion, professional development of a psychotherapist never ends. The field of my scientific research is constituted by the function of language in psychotherapy and everyday life, and more precisely its influence on shaping the reality.
I am also realizing the School for Parents and Tutors in Poland and other EU member states. The curriculum is addressed to everyone who is searching for the way to establish deeper and warmer relationships with children or pupils. While teaching the skills of open communication in the family, at the same time the program contributes to establishing strong relationship between parents and children, which (according to J. D. Hawkins’s research) makes it also a prevention program. The motto of the School for Parents and Tutors is: To bring up means to love and to demand.
I also conduct many other workshops for parents and teachers concerning communication as well as parenting and educational skills. For several years I have been supporting other people in getting to know themselves, discovering their internal power, developing features and skills as well as living in harmony with themselves. What gives me a lot of satisfaction this is also the work with high school students, university students, managers, women from different professional and social backgrounds who are interested in their own most appropriate future, women who would like to become better mothers, partners or else who are searching for change in their professional or private life. During sessions we concentrate on strengthening the resources and thanks to looking forward into the future and searching for solution ideas and ways how to act we get closer to realizing the vision of life you would like to live.
I am a member of Polish Brief Solution Focused Therapist Association (PST-TSR) as well as Polish Psychologist’s Society (PTP). I cooperate in the field of publishing in several publishing houses in Poland and abroad – in Germany, Belgium, Canada, Australia and many others. I also cooperate with a Polish community organization in Belgium. This social activity is for me the source of a lot of satisfaction. My everyday work includes cooperation with kindergartens and schools by supporting teachers in building relationships with children and their parents as well as running therapeutic sessions in my private office or online, I am also a psychologist in the Polish School in Belgium.
